About this book
Sight Word Explorers: Kindergarten
Sight Word Explorers: Kindergarten covers the 52 Dolch primer words, the next set after the pre-primer list, with a page for each word. It is for 5 and 6 year olds and runs to 68 pages.
The words include all, are, have, like, want, there, they, under, what, who and with, many of which cannot be sounded out easily. On each page your child reads the word, colors it, traces it, writes it independently and finds it in a word hunt.
Thirteen read-and-color review pages come after every fourth word, so earlier words keep coming back. By the end your child has met each word in several different ways.
The book closes with a certificate. These kindergarten sight word worksheets work alongside any phonics program or reading curriculum, and they pair naturally with the Pre-K book if your child is starting from the beginning. You get a black-and-white printable PDF for US Letter or A4.
