About this book
Good Morning! 1st Grade Warm-Ups
Good Morning! 1st Grade Warm-Ups has 185 pages for children aged 6 and 7: 180 daily warm-ups, one for every school day of a 36-week year, plus two stamp charts, a how-to page and a certificate. Each page takes about five to ten minutes, which makes it easy morning work at home or in a classroom.
Every Monday starts with the same Good Morning page: today's date and weather, a word of the day to copy, a fix-it sentence, math of the day, number of the day and a quick write.
The page changes every day, and the same kind of page never comes two days in a row. The rest of the week rotates the week's math page, spelling practice and grammar, picture crosswords, number secret codes, word ladders, fix-the-sentence pages, silly fill-in stories, number pyramids, color-by-code pictures with sums to 20, path mazes counting by 2s, tally graphs, roll-and-add, make-ten frames, spot the difference, cut-and-sort and mazes. In the UK, this fits Year 2.
The skills follow the weekly sequence of our 1st grade plan, so the work grows with your child across the year. You don't need the curriculum to use the warm-ups. You get a colourful edition and an ink-saving black-and-white edition, each in US Letter and A4.
