About this book
Good Morning! Preschool Warm-Ups
Good Morning! Preschool Warm-Ups has 185 pages for children aged 3 to 5: 180 daily warm-ups, one for every school day of a 36-week year, plus two stamp charts, a how-to page and a certificate. Each page takes about five to ten minutes, which makes it easy morning work at home or in a classroom.
Every Monday is the same Good Morning page: circle the day and the weather, trace the letter and number of the week, color a ten-frame, say how you feel and draw. Repeating it each week helps children learn the routine and do more on their own.
The page changes every day, and the same kind of page never comes two days in a row. The rest of the week rotates playdough mats, dot-marker letter hunts, ten-frames and a hands-on ten-frame mat, color-by-number pictures, I-spy counting grids, spot the difference, number lines, patterns, shadow matching, mazes, cutting practice, cut-and-sort pages, roll-and-color games, and letter, number and shape tracing. Letters arrive two a week, then first word families; numbers grow from 5 to 10 to 20.
The skills follow the weekly sequence of our Pre-K plan, so the work grows with your child across the year. You don't need the curriculum to use the warm-ups. You get a colourful edition and an ink-saving black-and-white edition, each in US Letter and A4.
