About this book
My Five Senses Science Unit
My Five Senses is an 18-page science unit for children aged 3 to 5 that explores seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching.
The read-aloud fact page gives one short idea for each sense. Our eyes see colors, shapes and light. Our ears hear loud and soft sounds. Our nose smells flowers, cookies and rain and helps us taste too. Our tongue tastes sweet, salty, sour and bitter. Our fingertips feel soft, rough, warm and cold.
After reading, your child draws lines to match each body part to its sense, traces body-part words, cuts out word cards and counts and writes to 10. A cut-and-sort page asks whether a bell, a drum, a guitar, a bird, a flower, a cookie, a lemon and a pie are things you hear or things you smell. There is also an I-spy page, a word search, a maze and a shadow match. The coloring page shows a child smelling a flower, listening to a bird, tasting a lemon and stroking a soft bunny.
This five senses printable for preschool comes as a black-and-white PDF for US Letter or A4.
