The bugs come four to a page across three craft pages: a ladybug, a butterfly, a dragonfly, a grasshopper, a caterpillar, a snail, a beetle, a firefly, a worm, a spider, a bee and an ant. Once they stand, they can be lined up on a windowsill, used in pretend play or set out as a spring display. There is also a coloring page of a beetle, a firefly and a ladybug sitting on a big mushroom.
The crafts give good practice with scissors and folding, and they are a natural way to talk about bugs, such as why the spider is the only one on the list that is not an insect.
