The birds come four to a page on three craft pages. Your child makes an owl, a parrot, a penguin, a toucan, a cardinal, a crow, a duck, a hen, an eagle, a bald eagle, a kiwi bird and a pair of lovebirds. Once folded, they can perch on a shelf, star in a story or join a pretend zoo. Word cards with the bird names are included, which help children learn names they may not know yet, like toucan or kiwi.
This craft also opens up easy talk about birds: which ones fly, which ones swim, which live where it is cold, and which ones you might see outside your window.
