The Seasonal Pretend Play Pack gives children aged 3 to 8 four small businesses to run, one for each season.
In fall they run a pumpkin stand, with signs and price tags for pumpkins, pumpkin pie, apple baskets, corn, sunflowers and apple cider. Winter brings a hot cocoa café, with signs, a menu and order forms for cocoa, gingerbread cookies, cupcakes and candy canes. In spring they open a flower shop, with signs and price tags for tulips, daisies, sunflowers, bouquets, seedlings and a watering can. Summer is a lemonade stand, with signs and a menu that includes lemonade, popsicles, watermelon and strawberries. A page of play money works for all four.
Each stand gives a reason to count coins, read prices, write orders and talk to customers. The stands also pair well with real treats, like an actual cup of cocoa or a jug of lemonade.
