Let's Pretend! is a printable pretend play pack for ages 3 to 8 that turns the living room into a small town with four setups: a grocery store, a café, a post office and a doctor's office.
The grocery store has OPEN and CLOSED signs, price tags, shopping lists and play money. The café has a menu with sandwiches, pizza, noodles, dumplings, muffins and lemonade, plus order pads for taking orders. The post office has a letter page, a postcard and signs, and the doctor's office has a patient chart and a prescription that prescribes rest and hugs. A coloring page shows children playing shop with a toy cash register.
Pretend play gives a lot of quiet practice. Children count money, write lists, read menus, fill in forms and take turns. Younger kids can draw instead of write, and older kids can price items and make change.
