Apple season is a good excuse for a themed learning week, and this 31-page Apple Picking Learning Pack gives you the worksheets for it. It is aimed at children aged 4 to 6.
The three coloring scenes follow an orchard day: a child on a ladder picking apples into a basket, rows of apple trees beside a red barn and a tractor, and a grandma baking an apple pie with a child in a cozy kitchen. Words such as apple, tree, basket, pie, bee and hedgehog appear across the pack.
Reading and writing pages ask your child to trace those words, cut out word cards, read short sentences and hunt for words in two word searches. Math pages cover counting to 20, adding and taking away with apple pictures, matching numbers to sets, an I-spy count and a simple graph. There are also patterns, ordering by size, odd one out, a maze, a dot-to-dot, a draw-the-other-half page and a page to write an apple story.
