Thanksgiving Day can be long for a 3 to 5 year old. This printable Thanksgiving busy book gives them 43 pages of calm, screen-free things to do while the kitchen is busy.
The pictures follow a harvest theme: turkeys, pumpkin pie, a cornucopia, cranberries, a bread basket and fall leaves. Six coloring scenes show a family gathering corn and pumpkins, children dressed as a pumpkin, an ear of corn and an apple in a little school play, a squirrel and a turkey sharing acorns, and a child helping grandpa set the table.
In between are tracing pages with harvest words, mazes, dot-to-dots, pencil-control paths, counting harvest pictures to 10, patterns, more-or-less, odd-one-out puzzles and a look-and-count page. Near the end there is a page to draw what your child is thankful for, which is lovely to bring to the table, plus cut-out cards and a certificate.
