Blast Off! is a space busy book for 3 to 5 year olds, with 40 printable pages of rockets, planets, astronauts, a telescope, a rover, Saturn and a friendly alien.
The coloring scenes go on little missions. A robot and a child plant a flag on the moon with Earth hanging in the sky, an astronaut waves from a space station window, and a rover bumps across the rocky ground of Mars. Single big pictures of a UFO, a comet and other space things each have a word to trace.
The activities mix fine motor and early math: trace space words, follow a curvy path, solve three mazes, connect the dots, count stars and planets to 5 and 10, compare more and less, put things in size order, match shadows and find the odd one out. There are also patterns, an I-spy page and a simple graph. Count-and-clip cards, word cards and a certificate finish the book.
