About this book
Ocean Animals Science Unit
The Ocean Animals Science Unit is a 17-page printable for children aged 4 to 6, mixing real ocean facts with tracing, counting and coloring.
The read-aloud fact page introduces four sea creatures. Whales are mammals like us and swim up to breathe through a blowhole. An octopus has eight arms and can change color to hide. Sea turtles swim far across the ocean and come back to the beach to lay eggs. Sea stars can grow back a lost arm and move on hundreds of tiny tube feet.
The activity pages bring in more ocean animals, such as dolphins, jellyfish, seahorses, clownfish and crabs. Your child traces ocean words, cuts out word cards, counts and writes to 10, does an I-spy counting page and a word search, swims through a maze and matches animals to shadows. Two coloring scenes show a manta ray and a sea turtle gliding over the sandy floor, and a lighthouse on the rocks with seals and a pelican. It ends with a What I Learned page and a certificate.
It is a printable ocean animals unit in black-and-white PDF, for US Letter or A4.
