a–z Letter Crafts: Lowercase has 26 craft pages for the small letters, made for children aged 3 to 6 who are starting to notice that most of the words they see are written in lowercase.
On each page there is a giant lowercase letter to decorate and four pictures to cut out, all starting with that letter. Your child colors the letter, snips out the pictures and glues them on. Saying the words out loud as they glue helps link the letter shape to its sound.
Lowercase letters are trickier than capitals because several look alike, such as b, d, p and q. Making a big, hands-on version of each one helps fix the shape in memory. The set works well after the uppercase crafts or alongside them, one pair per week.
There are 29 pages including the how-to and a certificate. The printable PDF is black-and-white and fits US Letter or A4. Crayons, child-safe scissors and a glue stick are all you need.
