Summer Bridge Math & Reading is a short summer review pack for 4 to 6 year olds, meant for ten minutes a day over the break so counting and early reading stay fresh. It has 31 pages.
The theme is a beach day. Words include sunglasses, beach ball, sandcastle, flip-flops, popsicle and lemonade. The coloring pages show children splashing in a paddling pool with a rubber duck and a beach ball, and a group holding ice cream cones next to an ice cream truck.
Reading pages ask your child to trace summer words, read simple sentences, find words in two word searches and write a short summer story. Math pages cover counting and writing numbers to 20, matching numbers to sets, adding and taking away with pictures, more and less, an I-spy page and a graph. Count-and-clip cards, patterns, size order, odd one out, a maze, a dot-to-dot and a symmetry page keep it varied.
